Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
Trent is an apartment community for Israel, operated by Omer Granada as a sole proprietor based in Israel (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Trent mobile app or trenttrent.com you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a hashed password, mobile phone number (Israel only, international E.164 format), full name, username, birth year, gender, and city. You may optionally add a bio, job title, and profile photo.
Content you create. Listings (photos, video, address, coordinates, price, amenities, description, availability dates), posts, comments, likes, saved listings, messages, friend relationships, and reposts.
Location. When you post a listing or pick an address, we store the address you chose and its latitude/longitude. The in-app map shows listings near a location you pick. If you tap “Use my location” we request your device location once for that action; we do not collect location in the background.
Device and usage data. Expo push notification tokens (so we can notify you), session tokens (so you stay signed in), and basic ad signals — which sponsored posts you saw, tapped, or hid — used to choose what sponsored content to show next.
2. How we use your information
- Operate the service: show listings, deliver messages and notifications, render maps.
- Authenticate you: verify your phone number at sign-up and send one-time codes by email for password recovery.
- Improve relevance: match you with listings based on the city and filters you choose; rank sponsored listings using the ad signals described above.
- Protect the community: detect spam, abuse, and fraud, and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share contact information (email, phone number) with advertisers.
3. Third-party services
To run Trent we use the following processors. Each is bound by its own privacy terms:
- Supabase — database, authentication, storage, and edge functions.
- Twilio — sending SMS one-time codes for phone verification.
- Resend — sending transactional email (sign-up codes, password reset codes).
- Expo Application Services — delivering push notifications.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — looking up addresses you type into the address picker.
- Apple Maps / Google Maps — rendering the in-app map.
4. What other users see
- Your profile (name, username, city, bio, job title, avatar, and the listings/posts you publish) is visible to other signed-in users.
- Your email address, birth year, and gender are private and are not shown on your profile. Your phone number is private by default; it is shared only on listings where you explicitly turn on “Show my phone for WhatsApp,” so viewers of that listing can contact you.
- Messages are visible only to the participants of that conversation.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain your account and content while your account is active. You can archive or delete individual listings and posts from inside the app. To delete your entire account and the personal data associated with it, contact us at support@trenttrent.com from the email address on your account. We will process the request within 30 days. We may retain a limited subset of data for legal reasons (such as fraud prevention) for a reasonable period afterwards.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth — we never see them. Data in transit uses HTTPS. Database access is restricted by Row-Level Security policies that limit each request to data the signed-in user is allowed to see. No service can guarantee absolute security; please use a strong, unique password.
7. Children
Trent is not directed to children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use Trent. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data and to object to certain processing. Israeli residents have rights under the Protection of Privacy Law 5741-1981. EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR. To exercise these rights, contact support@trenttrent.com.
9. International transfers
Trent's processors (Supabase, Twilio, Resend, Expo) may store and process data outside Israel, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on the standard contractual safeguards offered by these providers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material we will also notify you in the app.
